National Parks

John Muir believed that the best way to turn people into conservationists was to get them out into the wilderness to experience nature firsthand. He is the main person we need to thank for starting the movement to turn beautiful lands into national monuments and national parks.

I have not yet experienced anywhere near the totality of the treasures that are this nation's national parks. But of the areas I have seen, I have tried to capture their essence in these images. Of course, nothing compares to actually being there in person, but I hope these pictures can give you a taste of what the places are like.
