Town of Machu Pichu

After descending from the archaeological site of Machu Pichu we entered the town of Machu Pichu itself. This is basically a tourist center for people on their way to or returning from the ruins.

Our leader Jose used to be a river guide, and he mentioned that those rapids on the right were Class VII, unnavigable
