By the time we got to La Paz, it was nearly New Year's. And apparently in Bolivia it's a tradition for women to wear yellow underwear on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately out of shyness (or a fear for my safety?) I did not seriously investigate just how widespread this phenomenon was.
