As Cusco was built on an old Incan city, you can still find signs of Incan ruins everywhere. Here you see what's left of an old Incan wall at the base of a Spanish-built cathedral. You see many buildings in Cusco that were built up on top of old Incan walls, as it was often the expedient thing to do at the time.
